Declan Rice Crosses from corners and free kicks created chances. Enjoyed room to roam in left midfield but was in an offside position upon receiving with a chance to score. Given a deserved rest around the 60-minute point. 6

The star midfielder Functioned in an advanced role down the right and put in defensive duties. Demonstrated glimpses of brilliance but scuffed an effort over. Replaced in the closing stages by Rogers, a fellow player, after being booked. 7/10

The winger Was presented with the team's clearest opportunity of the first half, his shot smartly stopped from the opposing goalkeeper. As a teammate hanging back, he was forced to provide width out wide yet his deliveries from the touchline were hit and miss. Substituted late in the match. 6/10

Harry Kane The match-winner with his two more finishes at international level. The opener a trademark close-range tap-in and the second a classy header after peeling away away from the opposition. Now 32, he continues to improve with the national team stand a real opportunity next summer with him leading the line. Eight

Eberechi Eze Struggled to influence play from the left. Was presented with a decent opportunity when set up by the midfielder yet the keeper denied him. Rashford had a greater effect when substituted. 5/10
